Donghai Bridge is the China’s first long length cross-sea bridge. During construction of pier foundations of Kezhushan Bridge, a part of the Donghai Bridge, the steel casings of 3.2m dia. with full length were picked and driven by piling barge directly for marine bored pile.
This method was adopted first time in bridge construction and the scale of temporary platform was then cut down significantly.
A China’s largest piling barge with a piling rig higher than 90m was
imported and deployed for this great project.
